The collection and storage of umbilical cord blood is a simple process that takes placeduring the delivery, either naturally or by Caesarean section at any time withoutinterrupting the normal routine of births. The gynecologist removed the umbilical cord blood after it has been separated from the newborn. This process is not, therefore, painful, intrusive and risky, or to the newborn or the mother.
